The Magewell Pro Convert for NDI to HDMI is a standalone IP video decoder that turns NDI and other network streams into an HDMI signal for a display, projector or switcher. It decodes NDI High Bandwidth, NDI HX, HX2 and HX3 as well as SRT, RTSP, RTMP, HLS, HTTP and MPEG-TS streams at up to 2K60, and outputs HDMI at up to 4K60 to match the connected display. It is the receive end of an NDI or AV-over-IP system, putting network video on any HDMI screen.

The decoder connects to the network, discovers NDI sources across network segments and decodes the selected stream with SpeedHQ, H.264 or H.265 video and AAC or MP3 audio. It reads the EDID of the connected monitor and outputs the format the display prefers — up to 4096×2160 60p over HDMI 1.4/2.0 — with eight channels of 48 kHz audio. Deinterlacing, output resolution, on-screen display, audio gain, sample rate and channel mapping are all configurable.

The same box decodes SRT, RTSP, RTMP, HLS and MPEG-TS streams, so it can display a streaming encoder's output or a remote feed as easily as an NDI source.
