What is the Logitech Reach?
The Logitech Reach (960-001670) is an adjustable USB content camera with a base mount for showing physical objects, samples, models and documents during presentations, lessons and hybrid meetings. A pivoting camera head on articulating arms lets presenters show items from almost any angle, not just straight down like a traditional document camera. This version ships with a stable surface base for flexible desk placement. The base lets Reach run in full desktop mode on a table, with a non-marring grip layer on the bottom.
How does the Logitech Reach work?
Reach is built around the Logitech StreamCam and delivers 1080p at 60 fps through a premium f/2.0 glass lens with a 78° diagonal field of view and smart autofocus. A push button engages 4.3x lossless zoom, and at full zoom-out the camera views a 30 × 55 cm (12 × 21.5 in) area of the desk surface.
The camera moves with one hand. A horizontal slider gives 32.3 cm (12.73 in) of travel with 360° panning, a vertical slider gives 31 cm (12.22 in) of travel, and the camera head rotates 360° on its ring and tilts 180° on a ball joint. A yellow dot indicator and grip ring help presenters keep the image level from their own point of view. The arms work in desktop mode for content capture or fold into a stowed mode for presenter view and storage.
Reach is plug and play over USB-C with no proprietary software. It works with most computers, including iPads and Chromebooks, and with common camera, conferencing and streaming apps. Dual omnidirectional microphones with noise reduction capture the presenter's voice. For whiteboard content, pair it with a Logitech Scribe whiteboard camera, and for the room itself a video bar such as the Rally Bar Mini covers the participants.
