Logitech Tap IP 2 952-000292 – Meeting Room Touch Controller (Off-White) is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
What is the Logitech Tap IP 2?
The Logitech Tap IP 2 is a network-connected 10.1-inch touch controller that participants use to start, join and run meetings in a Logitech video conferencing room. It works with Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android, Zoom Rooms and Google Meet, and it is the controller Logitech pairs with Rally Bar 2 for Teams Rooms on Android. Compared with the original Logitech Tap IP, it adds a 1920 x 1200 anti-glare display, radar presence sensing, Wi-Fi 6 and is built on the Microsoft Device Ecosystem Platform (MDEP). This model (952-000292) is the Off-White finish; the same controller is also available in Graphite as 952-000289.
How does the Logitech Tap IP 2 work?
Tap IP 2 connects to the room over the network instead of a dedicated USB or HDMI run back to the compute, so it pairs with a Logitech CollabOS room system such as Rally Bar 2 wherever the table or wall layout needs it. A single category cable carries both data and power, using Power over Ethernet (IEEE 802.3af Type 1, Class 3), so the network switch port must supply PoE or a PoE injector must be added. The controller also includes Wi-Fi (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax) and Bluetooth 5.0.
The 10.1-inch IPS touchscreen runs at 1920 x 1200 with an anti-glare, oleophobic surface and sits at a 14° angle for comfortable use at the table. It gives participants one-touch join, content sharing, mute and camera on/off, with the exact controls set by the video platform. PIR and radar motion sensors wake the display as people enter the room, and the sensing still works when the unit is mounted upside down on a wall.
Installation follows the same pattern as earlier Tap controllers. Tap IP 2 mounts flat on a table or on a wall with optional mounts sold separately, and it works with existing Tap and Tap IP mounts, so an upgrade can reuse hardware already in the room. Cables exit horizontally, vertically or through the center, with internal cable retention and strain relief. On the management side, auto-provisioning connects the controller to Logitech Sync and applies your settings when it comes online, which speeds up large rollouts. The Off-White housing suits rooms with light tables, walls and millwork.
What are the key features of the Logitech Tap IP 2?
- 10.1-inch high-resolution touch display — A 1920 x 1200 IPS anti-glare panel with 10-point multi-touch keeps meeting controls clear and responsive.
- Presence-activated wake — PIR and radar motion sensors wake the controller when people walk in, even when it is mounted upside down on a wall.
- Single-cable PoE installation — One category cable delivers power and data, so the controller can sit anywhere a network drop can reach.
- Three platforms — Tap IP 2 works with Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android, Zoom Rooms and Google Meet.
- Works with existing mounts — Existing Tap and Tap IP table, riser and wall mounts stay in place during an upgrade.
- Flexible cable exits — Horizontal, vertical and center cable exits with internal strain relief keep the install tidy on a table or wall.
- Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 — Wireless radios are built in alongside 10/100 Ethernet.
- Built on MDEP — The Microsoft Device Ecosystem Platform, disk encryption and device attestation support enterprise security requirements.
- Logitech Sync management — Auto-provisioning and remote configuration let IT manage the controller alongside the rest of the Logitech room.
