Product Overview
The Listen Technologies AURI-TX2N-A0 is a two-channel Auri transmitter that broadcasts assistive listening audio over Auracast, the Bluetooth LE Audio broadcast profile. Its low-profile enclosure resembles a Wi-Fi access point, so it mounts to ceiling or wall in a finished space without the visual weight of a rack unit. Balanced analog mic/line inputs take a feed directly from a mixer or DSP output. A single ethernet connection carries PoE, network control and Audio over IP, which keeps the install to one cable run.
Product Description
Auracast removes the dedicated distribution layer that RF and infrared assistive listening require. The venue broadcasts, and compliant receivers join without pairing.

Listen describes the TX2N as a sleek, low-profile transmitter designed for professional installations, resembling a Wi-Fi access point. That form factor matters in practice: it can be mounted in the room it serves rather than hidden in a rack, which is often necessary for broadcast coverage. It provides balanced analog mic/line inputs, a balanced line output, a single ethernet connection for PoE, network control and Audio over IP, with optional Dante support available on the -D part number. USB-C is provided for power where PoE is not available, and a ceiling and wall mounting bracket is included.
Two channels supports the common cases: a primary language plus a second interpretation channel, or a main programme feed plus an audio description channel. Because the unit runs over PoE on a single cable, adding a transmitter to an existing room is usually a network drop rather than a containment exercise.
Receivers are ordered separately. The Auri RX1 receiver is the venue-issued option for patrons without a compliant personal device, and it charges in the 4-unit or 16-unit docking stations. A replacement mounting bracket is stocked separately. Note that Auri transmitters do not ship with a power supply: order the 1-port USB-C charger where PoE is not being used.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the transmitter ship with a power supply?
No. Auri transmitters do not include a power supply. Use PoE over the ethernet run, or order the LA-425-09 USB-C charger separately.
What does the second channel typically carry?
A second language for interpretation, or an audio description channel alongside the main programme feed. Both are common obligations in public venues.
Can it be fed from a Dante network?
Dante support is optional on the TX2N and fitted on the -D part number. This unit uses balanced analog mic/line inputs.
Where should the transmitter be mounted?
In the space it serves rather than in a remote rack, since it is broadcasting over Bluetooth. The enclosure is designed to look like a Wi-Fi access point and ships with a ceiling and wall bracket for that reason.
Do patrons need a venue-issued receiver?
Compliant consumer devices can receive an Auracast broadcast, but a venue with an accessibility obligation generally has to provide receivers. The Auri RX1 covers that.
How many transmitters does a venue need?
Coverage depends on room geometry and construction, as with any RF broadcast. Confirm the design with your Listen representative before fixing quantities on a large or subdivided space.
