Product Overview

The Lightware HDMI-TPN-RX107D is an SDVoE-compatible HDMI 2.0 receiver that decodes 4K/UHD video streams delivered over a 10 Gigabit copper network link. Alongside HDMI 2.0 video output, it provides Dante audio output, RS-232, and bidirectional IR — giving integrators a single receive unit that handles video, networked audio, and control simultaneously. It is designed as the display-end companion to SDVoE transmitters in large-scale AV-over-IP distribution systems.

Product Description

In an SDVoE system, the RX107D sits at the display end of the network and receives encoded-free, uncompressed video from a compatible transmitter or SDVoE network switch. The HDMI 2.0 output delivers up to 4K/UHD at 60Hz with RGB or YCbCr 4:4:4 chroma, HDR, and full HDCP compliance — matching the signal quality of a direct HDMI connection at any distance the 10GbE network allows.

The integrated Dante audio output separates audio from the HDMI stream and routes it into a Dante network, enabling audio to be distributed independently to amplifiers, DSPs, or other Dante-enabled devices without additional converters. This is particularly valuable in installations with distributed speaker systems or where audio and video routing need to diverge. RS-232 and bidirectional IR pass-through complete the control infrastructure at the display location.

Key Features

  • SDVoE-compatible receiver — works with the SDVoE Alliance ecosystem; integrates natively with Lightware transmitters
  • HDMI 2.0 output — 4K/UHD 60Hz, RGB 4:4:4, YCbCr 4:4:4, up to 18 Gbps
  • Dante audio output — extracts embedded audio and routes it onto a Dante IP audio network
  • 10GbE copper network input — connects to standard 10G managed switch infrastructure
  • HDR support — HDR10, HLG, and Low Latency Dolby Vision compatible
  • HDCP 2.2/2.3 compliant — full content protection for commercial sources
  • Zero-frame video latency — no decoding delay, suitable for live production and interactive use
  • RS-232 and bidirectional IR — control routing from transmitter or management system to display

Typical Applications

  • Large conference rooms and boardrooms with independent audio distribution to ceiling speakers
  • University lecture capture systems with Dante-networked audio infrastructure
  • Media walls and video wall installations requiring synchronized 4K sources
  • Broadcast and production environments using Dante for audio routing
  • Corporate digital signage endpoints with local display and networked audio output

Frequently Asked Questions

What Dante license or hardware is required on the network?
The RX107D outputs Dante audio directly. A Dante-compatible switch and Dante Controller software are needed to route audio to receiving devices. No additional Dante license is required on the RX107D itself.
Can the RX107D receive from any SDVoE transmitter, not just Lightware?
Yes. SDVoE is an open alliance standard. The RX107D will receive from any certified SDVoE transmitter, though management integration is tightest within the Lightware ecosystem.
Is Dante audio available simultaneously with HDMI audio?
The Dante output carries the audio that is de-embedded from the received HDMI stream. The HDMI output also carries embedded audio. Both are available simultaneously.
What network switch is recommended?
A 10GbE managed switch with IGMP snooping enabled is required. For combined video and Dante audio networks, ensure the switch supports both multicast video and the audio clock synchronization requirements of Dante.
Does the RX107D support video wall or tiling outputs?
The RX107D outputs one HDMI 2.0 signal. Video wall applications require a dedicated video wall controller or a system-level software solution managing multiple receivers.
Is the unit rack-mountable?
The HDMI-TPN-RX107D is a standalone unit. Rack mounting requires an optional tray accessory from Lightware. Check with Creation Networks for compatible rack accessories.
Where can I purchase the HDMI-TPN-RX107D?
Available from Creation Networks, an authorized Lightware AV-over-IP distributor.
