Product Overview
The Lightware HDMI-3D-OPT-RX110DD is a multimode single-fiber optical receiver with a built-in data diode, designed to receive HDMI 1.4 and DVI 1.0 signals transmitted over one multimode fiber from the paired HDMI-3D-OPT-TX210DD transmitter at distances up to 2500 meters. The hardware data diode enforces strict one-directional signal flow — no data can travel from the display or receiver back toward the source. Certified to the Tempest SDIP27 Level B standard, the RX110DD is appropriate for classified government facilities, defense intelligence display systems, and high-security operations centers where hardware-level signal separation is a mandatory requirement.
Product Description
As the receiving end of the HDMI-3D-OPT-DD optical extender pair, the RX110DD accepts the 6-channel CWDM fiber signal from the TX210DD transmitter, recovers the uncompressed HDMI video and embedded audio, and outputs them via a standard HDMI connector to the destination display. The quarter-rack form factor makes it compact enough to mount behind displays using Lightware UD mounting accessories or to install in a rack shelf when a centralized receiver deployment is preferred.

The receiver provides an analog audio output via a 5-pole balanced Phoenix connector for installations requiring de-embedded audio to an external audio system, in addition to the full HDMI audio pass-through on the HDMI output. Advanced EDID Management with 15 user-programmable slots and a factory preset library ensures proper display handshaking across all standard AV resolutions without manual EDID table configuration. The ShowMe button on the front panel provides visual link status indication and basic diagnostic capability without software access.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Does the RX110DD require a specific transmitter?
- Yes. The HDMI-3D-OPT-RX110DD is designed to pair exclusively with the HDMI-3D-OPT-TX210DD transmitter. The 6-channel CWDM optical format is proprietary to the HDMI-3D-OPT-DD series and is not compatible with generic fiber HDMI extenders.
- Can the RX110DD be installed behind a display?
- Yes. The quarter-rack form factor (100.4mm wide) allows the receiver to be mounted using Lightware's UD Kit or UD Kit Double accessories, which attach to flat surfaces such as furniture or wall mounts behind the display.
- What is the maximum transmission distance at 4K resolution?
- At 4096x2048@30Hz 24bpp, the maximum distance is 350m on OM2, 700m on OM3, and 1100m on OM4 fiber. Full HD (1080p@60Hz 24bpp) can reach 2500m on OM4.
- Does the receiver output audio separately from the HDMI connection?
- Yes. The RX110DD provides a 5-pole balanced Phoenix connector for de-embedded analog audio output, which can be connected to an external audio system independently of the HDMI video output.
- Is the RX110DD compatible with DVI displays?
- Yes. The HDMI output on the RX110DD is compatible with HDMI 1.4 and DVI 1.0 displays via a standard HDMI-to-DVI adapter.
