Product Overview
The Lightware Generic SFP+ SM BiDi "B" is a 10Gbps single-mode fiber transceiver module in the BiDi (bidirectional) "B" configuration, designed for use in Lightware network switches and media converters that support SFP+ slots. It enables fiber connectivity for AV-over-IP and data network infrastructure in professional installations.
Product Description
BiDi (bidirectional) transceivers use wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) to transmit and receive on a single strand of fiber, cutting fiber infrastructure costs in half compared to standard dual-fiber SFP+ modules. The "B" module is paired with the "A" module at the opposite end of the fiber link. This transceiver operates at 10Gbps over singlemode fiber and is rated for commercial grade deployments.
