It is compatible with LightWare fiber networking products that use standard SFP ports, providing the physical layer connection for long-distance AV-over-IP and control network links. Product Description
The 1G SFP SM 20km module plugs into the SFP cage of compatible LightWare network switches and AV-over-IP devices, converting the electrical interface to a single-mode optical signal. The 20km reach makes it appropriate for inter-building fiber runs in enterprise campuses and large venue AV installations where distances exceed the capability of multimode fiber or copper. The module uses standard LC duplex connectors and operates at 1310nm wavelength as typical for single-mode 1G transceivers. Using a LightWare-specified module ensures compatibility and avoids link instability that can result from unqualified third-party optics.
