This SFP+ transceiver operates at 1 Gbps over 850nm multimode fiber using an LC duplex interface, conforming to the IEEE 802.3z standard. At 550 meters maximum reach on OM2 or better multimode fiber, it covers typical inter-floor and inter-room distances in commercial AV installations. The commercial-grade specification makes it well-suited for AV-over-IP distribution systems where network switches must connect to Lightware encoders, decoders, or matrix cards via fiber backbone.
