Product Overview
The LG LBAE026-GM is a 2.6 mm pixel-pitch LED display cabinet built for broadcast and virtual production studios. It delivers a 1,500-nit calibrated brightness (2,000-nit peak) with 16-bit processing for broadcast-quality color and dynamic range. Studio-specific features include CamSync V-Sync matching, Phase Shift timing adjustment, and on-tile waveform and vector scope analysis. Each unit case carries a 192 x 192 resolution from a 2 x 2 module layout and pairs with LG's CBAE broadcast VP controller.
Product Description
This LBAE-series cabinet uses 250 x 250 mm modules at a 96 x 96 module resolution, assembling into a 500 x 500 x 75.5 mm unit case built from die-cast magnesium alloy (6 kg per case, 24 kg/m²). Physical pixel density is 147,456 pixels per square meter with case flatness to plus or minus 0.15 mm. Calibrated brightness is 1,500 nits with a 2,000-nit peak, a 5,000:1 contrast ratio, 160-degree horizontal and vertical viewing angles, and a 3,500 to 9,000 K color temperature (6,500 K default). The cabinet refreshes at 7,680 Hz with a 50/60 Hz frame rate. CamSync matches the LED V-Sync to the camera frequency to suppress rolling-shutter banding, while Phase Shift corrects double-image timing artifacts. The display can show false color, waveform, and vector scope analysis of Y', Y'-Cb, and Y'-Cr signals directly on the tiles. Front or rear service access, stacking/hanging beam accessories, and curve support round out the install options. Power is 100 to 240 V with an IP30 rating; LED lifetime to half brightness is 100,000 hours.
Key Features
- 2.6 mm pixel pitch — fine resolution for close camera framing in virtual production.
- 1,500 nit / 2,000 nit peak — exposure headroom for studio lighting conditions.
- CamSync — matches LED V-Sync to camera frequency to prevent rolling-shutter black bands.
- Phase Shift — manual output-timing adjustment to remove double-image artifacts on camera.
- On-tile signal analysis — false color, waveform, and vector scope readout for color work.
- 16-bit processing — broadcast-grade dynamic range and color fidelity.
- 7,680 Hz refresh rate — high refresh for clean on-camera capture.
- CBAE broadcast controller — SDI and Genlock (in/out) support for VP workflows.
Typical Applications
The LBAE026-GM is designed for film and broadcast virtual production studios, serving as an on-camera LED background or volume wall. Its CamSync, Phase Shift, and SDI/Genlock controller support make it appropriate for in-camera VFX stages, news and sports broadcast studios, and commercial production sets. Stacking, hanging, and curve options let it form flat or curved studio volumes.

FAQ
What does CamSync do?
It matches the LED display's V-Sync to the camera frequency to suppress the rolling-shutter black-line effect during shooting.
How does Phase Shift help on camera?
It manually adjusts the LED output timing to remove double-image (double-frame) artifacts in camera recordings.
Can it show signal scopes?
Yes. The LBAE series can display false color, waveform, and vector scope analysis of the video signal on the LED tiles.
Which controller does it require?
The CBAE controller, whose SDI and Genlock in/out interfaces support broadcast and virtual production workflows.
