The LS4T pairs a 1-inch polyurethane dome tweeter with a 4.5-inch injection-molded polypropylene woofer and Santoprene surround, producing a 75Hz–20kHz (±3dB) frequency response and 88dB sensitivity (2.83V/1m) from a high-heat ABS, non-corrosive sealed enclosure. It is 70V/100V transformer-tapped at 40W, 20W, and 10W (with a 5W 70V tap), using a Sonance Laminated Core Transformer with an adjustable tap so a single distributed-audio amplifier can drive multiple zones of LS4T speakers at different volume levels. Each speaker mounts on a 1/2-inch NPS satellite thread with a pivoting knuckle, allowing installers to aim the wide-dispersion grille (±60 degrees, or 120 degrees conical) toward seating areas after the stake is set in the ground.
