Product Overview
The Lab Gruppen D 10:4L is a 1,000W 4-channel installation amplifier with onboard Lake DSP and Dante digital audio networking in a 1U rack-mount chassis. Built on the IDEEA Class D output stage with native direct drive to 70V and 100V constant-voltage speaker systems, the D 10:4L eliminates the need for external step-up transformers in distributed audio installations. For AV integrators and system designers specifying a compact entry-level Lake DSP amplifier with Dante for conference rooms, huddle rooms, training rooms, and commercial distributed audio applications, the D 10:4L provides the full D Series Lake platform in a 1U form factor at the most accessible power tier.
Product Description
The D 10:4L provides 1,000W total burst output across four channels under RPM (Rational Power Management), Lab Gruppen's proprietary technology that redistributes burst power from idle channels to active channels in real time. Per-channel power at all-channels-driven is 250W across 2, 4, 8, and 16 ohm Lo-Z loads and 250W at 25V/70V Hi-Z, with 175W at 100V Hi-Z. Single-channel maximum output reaches 850W at 2 ohms, up to 1,000W at 2.67 ohm, 4 ohm, and 8 ohm loads, 1,000W at 70V, and 700W at 100V.
The IDEEA Class D output stage provides native direct drive to 70V and 100V Hi-Z speaker lines without requiring external transformers, simplifying installation and reducing wiring complexity in commercial distributed audio systems. All the Lake DSP capabilities of the D Series platform are available onboard, including per-channel parametric EQ, linear-phase and FIR crossover filters, delay, LimiterMax peak and RMS limiters, Raised Cosine MESA EQ, and group control, all configurable via Lake Controller software. Built-in Dante 8x8 dual-redundant audio networking with AES67 support provides network audio delivery with configurable latency from 0.25 to 5.0ms in both daisy-chain and redundant Dante topologies. Four AES/EBU (AES3) digital inputs supporting up to 192 kHz at 24-bit and four balanced analog inputs with Iso-Float ground isolation cover all common signal formats. The Breaker Emulation Limiter (BEL) is fixed at 8A, and four-level input redundancy provides automatic failover between Dante, AES3, and analog sources via Lake Controller configuration. Peak output voltage is 142 Vpk with 30 Apk maximum current, and dynamic range exceeds 112 dB.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Does the D 10:4L need external transformers for 70V or 100V speaker systems?
A: No. The IDEEA Class D output stage provides native direct drive to 70V and 100V constant-voltage lines without external step-up transformers, simplifying wiring for distributed audio systems in commercial and commercial facilities.
Q: What is the per-channel power of the D 10:4L with all channels driven?
A: With all four channels driven simultaneously, the D 10:4L delivers 250W per channel into 2, 4, 8, and 16 ohm Lo-Z loads and 250W at 25V/70V Hi-Z. At 100V Hi-Z all-driven, the per-channel output is 175W. RPM (Rational Power Management) allows burst power to be redistributed when channels are not all loaded simultaneously.
Q: How does the D 10:4L differ from the D 20:4L?
A: Both models share the same IDEEA Class D platform, Lake DSP, Dante 8x8, 1U chassis, and connectivity (AES3, analog Iso-Float). The D 10:4L provides 1,000W total burst output with 250W per channel all-driven, while the D 20:4L provides 2,000W total with 500W per channel all-driven. For applications requiring more sustained per-zone output, the D 20:4L is the appropriate choice.
Q: Can Dante, AES3, and analog sources all connect to the D 10:4L at the same time?
A: Yes. All three input types can be connected simultaneously. Lake Controller's four-level input redundancy feature lets you configure primary, secondary, and fallback sources with automatic failover, so the amplifier continues passing audio if a primary source fails.
Q: What Lake DSP features are available on the D 10:4L?
A: The full Lake DSP feature set is available: per-channel parametric EQ, linear-phase crossover, FIR crossover, delay, LimiterMax peak and RMS limiters, Raised Cosine MESA EQ, and group control. All parameters are configured via Lake Controller software. CAFE ESP can be used for pre-deployment system design.
Q: What Dante latency options are supported on the D 10:4L?
A: Dante audio latency is configurable between 0.25ms and 5.0ms. Daisy-chain and redundant Dante network topologies are both supported. AES67 interoperability is included for cross-platform audio networking.
Q: What warranty and support does Creation Networks provide for the D 10:4L?
A: The D 10:4L carries the Lab Gruppen manufacturer warranty. Creation Networks offers pre-sales support and system design consultation and can assist in locating authorized Lab Gruppen service centers for warranty and technical service.
