Product Overview
The Kramer PT-871XR is a 4K HDR HDMI compact PoC transmitter for Long-Reach DGKat 2.0 signal extension, designed as the source-end unit in a DGKat 2.0 HDMI extension system. It accepts a 4K HDR HDMI input and transmits the signal over Cat cabling using Long-Reach DGKat 2.0 technology to a compatible receiver at the display end. PoC powers the receiver from the transmitter over the same Cat cable. Suited for conference rooms and commercial AV installations requiring 4K HDR extension over Cat infrastructure.
Product Description
The PT-871XR’s compact form factor makes it easy to install at a presenter station, source device location, or AV equipment shelf without occupying significant space. DGKat 2.0’s extended range capability allows longer Cat cable runs compared to the original DGKat specification, providing more flexibility in conference room and classroom AV installations. 4K HDR support ensures the signal chain is compatible with current UHD sources and displays. Power over Cable (PoC) from this transmitter eliminates the need for a separate power supply at the receiver end, reducing installation overhead at the display location.
