The Kramer FC-69 is a bidirectional 4K@60Hz (4:2:0) HDMI audio embedder and de-embedder in a compact DigiTOOLS form factor, serving conference rooms, boardrooms, and presentation spaces that need both audio embedding and de-embedding capability from a single in-line HDMI device. It can embed analog audio into the HDMI output signal, or de-embed audio from the HDMI input or ARC simultaneously to S/PDIF and unbalanced stereo analog outputs — covering the most common audio routing requirements in commercial AV installations without a separate audio processor. DIP-switch configuration controls all operating modes without requiring software access, making setup and field adjustment straightforward for integrators.

Product Description

In embedding mode, the FC-69 accepts a 3.5mm analog stereo audio input and embeds it into the HDMI output stream — even in the absence of an HDMI video source, allowing audio-only embedding for applications where the audio system is independent of the video source. In de-embedding mode, audio is extracted from the HDMI input signal or from the ARC return channel from the connected display, and output simultaneously on the RCA S/PDIF digital connector and the 3.5mm unbalanced stereo analog output. The 8-way DIP switch controls mode selection (embed/de-embed), EDID locking/modification, HDCP settings, and sleep mode behavior — allowing the unit to pass 5V output state through from the input, enabling the connected display to enter sleep mode when no video is present. Max data rate of 8.91Gbps (2.97Gbps per channel) supports 4K@60Hz (4:2:0) and 4Kx2K resolutions. The DigiTOOLS form factor fits three units side-by-side in a 1U rack space with the optional rack adapter.
