What is the Kramer PT-572HDCP+ DVI receiver?
The Kramer PT-572HDCP+ is a DGKat twisted pair receiver for DVI signals. Paired with the PT-571HDCP transmitter, it converts the twisted pair signal back to DVI, reaching up to 70m (230ft) at 1080p@60Hz or up to 90m (295ft) at 1080i@60Hz over Kramer DGKat cable. It is a compact, HDCP-compliant way to run a DVI source to a display, projector or monitor across a boardroom, training room or presentation system.
How does the Kramer PT-572HDCP+ work?
The PT-571HDCP converts DVI to a twisted pair signal using Kramer DGKat technology, which carries TMDS video plus control and communication signals over a single twisted pair cable. The PT-572HDCP+ receives it on an RJ-45 connector and outputs DVI on a 24-pin female DVI connector, at up to 4.95Gbps (1.65Gbps per graphic channel).
EDID is passed between the source and the display, so the source selects a supported resolution. With the Kramer Power Connect system, one power supply at either the transmitter or the receiver powers both units when they are within 90m (270ft) of each other.
