What is the Kramer VIA Connect3?
The Kramer VIA Connect3 is a compact and secure 4K wireless presentation and collaboration solution. At about 9 x 9 cm, it installs almost anywhere, offers built-in Wi-Fi and LAN connectivity and uses 1024-bit encryption for secure use on the internal network. It gives iOS, Android, Chromebook, PC and Mac users instant wireless sharing in small to mid-size meeting rooms, classrooms and hybrid workspaces.
How does the Kramer VIA Connect3 work?
Users share content through the Kramer VIA app or by mirroring with AirPlay on iOS and Miracast on Windows and Android, with Chromebook mirroring also supported. Four participants can present content simultaneously, and an HDMI input lets a wired source present at the same time as wireless users. Video in and out runs at up to 4K@30Hz on an HDMI 2.0 output, with content streaming and video playback.
Dual Wi-Fi allows a guest access point and Miracast connections at the same time, alongside a Gigabit LAN port and Bluetooth. The VIA Connect3 is optimized for video conferencing using room peripherals, which Kramer calls VIA Room Devices, connected to its USB 3.0 ports, and it can launch third-party web applications. Security includes 802.1x user authentication, 1024-bit encryption and a dynamic room code, and centralized cloud management is available with VSM Cloud. The aluminum enclosure has a fan with heat sink and a Kensington lock slot, and runs from a 12V DC supply.
