Kramer EXT3-C-WP-XR-T – USB-C HDBaseT 3.0 Wall Plate, Black
What is the Kramer EXT3-C-WP-XR-T USB-C wall plate transmitter?
The Kramer EXT3-C-WP-XR-T/US(B) is a black, US Decora-size USB-C wall plate transmitter that extends uncompressed 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 video, USB 2.0, Gigabit Ethernet, RS-232 and IR over one HDBaseT 3.0 cable for up to 100m (330ft). The black panel suits dark podiums, lecterns and wall finishes where a white plate would stand out. This part number (50-80581195) is the black US version; a white version is also available.
How does the Kramer EXT3-C-WP-XR-T work?
Any DisplayPort Alt Mode USB-C laptop becomes the AV source with one cable. The plate converts video, USB 2.0, Ethernet, RS-232 and IR into a single HDBaseT 3.0 stream for a compatible receiver at the display or rack, and as a standard HDBaseT extender it works with HDBaseT-compliant products from other manufacturers.
USB 2.0 runs in both directions, so the presenter's laptop or a room PC can reach USB cameras, speakerphones and HID devices at the far end; that is the core of a BYOD hybrid meeting room. Two USB-A ports and a Gigabit LAN port on the plate serve local devices and wired networking, while PD-capable laptops charge at up to 60W.
The front DISPLAY ON button toggles a CEC-enabled display, with an LED for power status, and the HDMI loop output drives a local confidence monitor. The plate can take PoE from the remote device over the extension cable or use its included power adapter, and it installs in a standard US 2-gang in-wall box.
