The Kramer TP-590R is a long-reach HDBaseT 2.0 receiver for 4K60 4:2:0 HDMI, USB, RS-232 and IR signals over twisted pair. It receives the HDBaseT 2.0 signal and converts it back to HDMI, USB 2.0, RS-232 and IR, reaching up to 40m (130ft) at 4K and up to 70m (230ft) at 1080p. It is an HDMI and USB extender receiver for hybrid meeting rooms that need a camera, microphone or touch display at the far end of the room.
How does the Kramer TP-590R work?
The TP-590R connects to a compatible HDBaseT 2.0 transmitter over a single CAT cable. Video arrives at up to 4K@60Hz 4:2:0 24bpp with 10.2Gbps bandwidth and HDCP 2.3, and EDID and CEC pass from the display back to the source. Kramer I-EDIDPro intelligent EDID processing ensures plug-and-play operation, and up to 32 channels of uncompressed digital audio are carried with the video.
USB 2.0 is extended in both directions, and the active USB host can be connected at either the transmitter or the receiver. The TP-590R provides one USB-B host port and three USB-A device ports, with up to 2A total charging current for devices, so a room camera and microphone at the display can be used by the presenting laptop. Bidirectional RS-232 and IR extension let a control system reach the display. Status LEDs aid troubleshooting, and the compact fan-less DemiTOOLS enclosure fits behind a display or above a ceiling.
