What is the Kramer VS-44H2A matrix switcher?
The Kramer VS-44H2A is a 4x4 18G 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 HDR HDMI matrix switcher with audio de-embedding. It routes any of four HDMI sources to any or all four outputs and extracts each output's audio to balanced analog and S/PDIF digital outputs with separate volume control. That makes it a 4K HDMI matrix with audio breakout for rooms that need to feed DSPs, amplifiers or zone audio alongside multiple displays.
How does the Kramer VS-44H2A work?
Each of the four HDMI outputs can show any input, and the VS-44H2A de-embeds that output's audio to a balanced stereo terminal block and an S/PDIF RCA connector, each with its own volume control. Signals are HDCP 2.2/1.4 compliant and support HDR10, xvYCC color, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio, and 3D as specified in HDMI 2.0. Kramer Equalization and reKlocking technology rebuilds the signal, and per-input EDID management and selectable per-input HDCP keep sources and displays compatible.
An Easy Step-In collaboration function works with Kramer Step-In enabled switchers so a presenter can plug in and press Step-In to take the main display. Up to four presets can be recalled from the front panel. Control is available from front-panel buttons and the input/output LED display, an IR input, embedded web pages over Ethernet, Kramer Protocol 3000 and RS-232. Firmware updates run over Ethernet or USB. The 19-inch 1U enclosure includes rack ears and a universal 100-240V AC power connection.
