Kramer VS-42H2 – 4x2 4K HDR HDMI Matrix Switcher
What is the Kramer VS-42H2 matrix switcher?
The Kramer VS-42H2 is a 4x2 4K HDR HDMI matrix switcher that routes any of four HDMI sources to either or both of two outputs at 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 and up to 18Gbps. It is HDCP 2.2/1.4 compliant and reclocks and equalizes each signal. This compact 4K HDMI matrix suits meeting rooms and presentation spaces with a main display and a confidence monitor or second display.
How does the Kramer VS-42H2 work?
Each output can independently show any of the four HDMI inputs, so a room can present one source on the projector while another plays on a side display, or mirror the same source to both. Kramer Equalization and reKlocking technology rebuilds the digital signal so it can travel longer distances, and individual EDID management per input captures and stores the EDID of a display for reliable source compatibility. HDCP can be selected per input.
Up to six preset configurations can be saved for quick recall. Local control is available from front-panel switching, mute, lock and EDID buttons and an IR remote; remote control runs through embedded web pages over Ethernet, Kramer Protocol 3000 commands, RS-232 and eight remote contact-closure switches. Firmware upgrades are done locally via USB or RS-232. The half-19-inch, 1U aluminum enclosure mounts in a rack with the recommended rack adapter.
For larger rooms, see the Kramer VS-48H2 4x8 HDMI matrix or the Kramer VS-84H2 8x4 HDMI matrix.
