What is the Kramer VM-24H distribution amplifier?
The Kramer VM-24H is a 2x1:4 HDMI switchable distribution amplifier. It reclocks and equalizes one of two selectable HDMI inputs and distributes it to four identical HDMI outputs. It is a rack-mount HDMI DA for presentation and multimedia systems, rental and staging, and any space where one selected source needs to reach several displays.
How does the Kramer VM-24H work?
Two HDMI sources connect to the VM-24H, and the selected input is reclocked, equalized and copied to all four outputs at up to 6.75Gbps (2.25Gbps per graphic channel). The unit is HDTV compatible and HDCP compliant, and supports HDMI deep color, x.v.Color, lip sync, CEC and 3D pass-through. An EDID pass-through algorithm keeps sources and displays working together with plug-and-play operation.
Input selection and EDID functions are available from front-panel EDID SELECT, EDID READ, IN 1 and IN 2 buttons, as well as RS-232 and IR switching for integration with a control system. Active output LEDs show which outputs are in use. The VM-24H uses a worldwide 100-240V AC power supply and a standard 19-inch 1U rack-mount chassis with rack ears included.
