Product Overview

The K-Array Pinnacle KR102P II is a passive column array PA system engineered for permanent commercial AV installation and high-end portable production in mid-size venues. The package pairs two Kobra KK102 I stainless steel line array elements with two Thunder KS1P I passive 12-inch subwoofers, all driven by a single Kommander KA104 DSP amplifier platform rated at 4x2500 W at 4 ohms. As a passive stereo sound system, it centralizes amplification and processing in one rack unit, simplifying signal routing, remote control, and integration with commercial control systems. Integrators specifying a slim column line array for houses of worship, auditoriums, and multi-purpose rooms get full-range coverage from a visually discreet footprint, with this system supplied in black.

Product Description

Each Kobra KK102 I column houses sixteen 2-inch neodymium magnet drivers in a one-meter stainless steel chassis just 59 mm wide, producing true line array behavior: coherent phase response, low distortion, and consistent intelligibility from the front row to the back of the room. Selectable 8-ohm or 32-ohm operation lets the installer choose between wide and narrow vertical coverage, and the columns carry an IP64 ingress rating with EN 54-24:2008 compliance for use in regulated public spaces.

K-Array Pinnacle KR102P II passive column array system in black with KS1P I subwoofers, KK102 I columns, and KA104 amplifier

Low-frequency reinforcement comes from two Thunder KS1P I passive subwoofers, each built around a long-excursion 12-inch neodymium cone driver with a 3-inch voice coil, delivering response down to 35 Hz and up to 134 dB maximum SPL. The Kommander KA104 amplifier supplies power and onboard DSP for the entire system, with factory presets matched to the KK102 I and KS1P I, remote control through the K-array Connect mobile app, and full system design and tuning through K-Framework3 over wired LAN. K-array publishes control plugins for Q-SYS, Crestron, and Control4, so the KR102P II drops into managed commercial AV deployments without custom driver development. Mounting hardware to pole-mount the columns above the subwoofers is included. A matching white version is available as the Pinnacle KR102WP II, and you can browse the full line in our K-Array collection.

Key Features

  • Complete Passive Stereo Package — Two KK102 I columns, two KS1P I subwoofers, one KA104 amplifier, and mounting hardware arrive as a matched system, so there is no component-level engineering required before installation.
  • Centralized DSP Amplification — The Kommander KA104 platform delivers 4x2500 W at 4 ohms with onboard processing and factory speaker presets, keeping all tuning and routing in a single device.
  • True Line Array Coverage — Sixteen closely spaced 2-inch drivers per column produce phase-coherent sound with consistent level over distance, reducing the need for delay fills in longer rooms.
  • Selectable Coverage Pattern — Each KK102 I column offers 8-ohm or 32-ohm operation to switch between wide and narrow vertical dispersion for different ceiling heights and seating layouts.
  • Deep, Controlled Low End — Each Thunder KS1P I uses a 12-inch long-excursion neodymium driver reaching down to 35 Hz with up to 134 dB maximum SPL.
  • Visually Discreet Form Factor — The 59 mm wide stainless steel columns nearly disappear against walls and architecture, which matters in design-sensitive venues and historic buildings.
  • Networked Control and Integration — The K-array Connect app handles day-to-day remote control, K-Framework3 manages system-wide tuning over LAN, and vendor plugins support Q-SYS, Crestron, and Control4 control systems.
  • Built for Regulated Installations — The KK102 I columns are EN 54-24:2008 compliant and IP64 rated, supporting deployment in public venues with life-safety and environmental requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the KR102P II include everything needed to run, or do I need a separate amplifier?
The system is complete. The included Kommander KA104 amplifier powers both KK102 I columns and both KS1P I subwoofers, and it carries the DSP presets the passive speakers require. You only add source equipment and cabling appropriate to your installation.

Can this system integrate with Q-SYS, Crestron, or Control4?
Yes. K-array publishes control plugins for Q-SYS, Crestron, Crestron Home, and Control4 that give the control processor direct access to the KA104 amplifier, so volume, muting, and preset recall can be managed from the room control system.

How is the system physically deployed?
The included mounting hardware pole-mounts each KK102 I column above its companion subwoofer for a fast stereo setup. For fixed installation, K-array offers wall, floor base, and fly accessories for the KK102 I, allowing the columns to be mounted independently of the subwoofers.

Is the KR102P II suitable for installations with fire-safety voice alarm requirements?
The Kobra KK102 I columns are EN 54-24:2008 compliant, which supports specification in projects where voice alarm loudspeaker certification is required. Confirm the full signal chain against your local code requirements during design.

What is the difference between this model and the KR102WP II?
They are the same system in different finishes. This listing is the black version; the KR102WP II is the white version for light-toned interiors.

What warranty applies, and who supports the system after purchase?
K-array backs its products with a 5-year manufacturer warranty. Creation Networks supports system selection, integration questions, and post-sale assistance for commercial deployments.
