Product Overview

The K-Array Pinnacle K-FOH2 is a dedicated front of house monitoring system that gives the engineer at the FOH mixing console a full-range 2.1 stereo reference during live events, concerts, and tours. The system pairs two Python KP52 I passive line array elements on floor stands with one Thunder KS2 I active 18-inch subwoofer, all packed with cables and stands inside a wheeled flight case for fast transport and storage. As a portable FOH monitoring rig, it holds linear frequency response even at high drive levels, so the engineer hears definition and intelligibility when stage and PA emissions are loud. It is equally at home as a high-resolution playback and monitoring system in broadcast studios and production-heavy auditoriums.

Product Description

Each Python KP52 I element houses six 3.15-inch neodymium magnet woofers in a 52 cm stainless steel chassis, delivering 128 dB peak SPL with adjustable vertical coverage from 10 to 45 degrees and 90-degree horizontal dispersion. With the full-range preset, each column extends from 70 Hz to 18 kHz, while the standard 2.1 configuration crosses the columns to the subwoofer for maximum headroom. The KP52 I's tight, phase-coherent near-field behavior is exactly what monitoring at the console position demands: the engineer hears the mix, not the room.

K-Array Pinnacle K-FOH2 front of house monitoring system with two Python KP52 I line arrays and Thunder KS2 I 18-inch active subwoofer in wheeled flight case

The Thunder KS2 I anchors the low end with an 18-inch neodymium woofer reaching down to 35 Hz at up to 137 dB maximum SPL, driven by its internal 4-channel Class D amplifier rated at 4x1500 W at 4 ohms. That onboard amplification also powers the two passive KP52 I columns, with DSP-controlled crossover and matched presets, so the entire system runs from one powered device. Connectivity covers analog and AES3 XLR in and out, SpeakON NL4 speaker outputs, powerCON TRUE1 TOP mains, RJ45 networking, and USB-A ports, with control through the Wi-Fi mobile app or K-Framework3 over wired Ethernet. The whole kit, including floor stands and cabling, lives in the wheeled flight case for one-person load-in. See the rest of the family in our K-Array collection, including the Pinnacle KR102P II passive column array system for installed applications.

Key Features

  • Purpose-Built FOH Reference — The 2.1 stereo layout is designed for the console position, keeping the engineer's monitoring accurate when high SPL is coming off the stage and main PA.
  • Self-Powered System Architecture — The Thunder KS2 I's internal 4x1500 W at 4 ohms Class D amplifier drives the subwoofer and both passive KP52 I columns, removing the need for an external amp rack.
  • Linear Response Under Load — Python KP52 I elements are known for maintaining linear frequency response at high drive levels, preserving mix detail at show volume.
  • High Output From Compact Elements — Each KP52 I produces up to 128 dB peak SPL from a 52 cm column weighing 5.8 kg, and the KS2 I reaches 137 dB maximum SPL with extension to 35 Hz.
  • Tour-Ready Packaging — Speakers, floor stands, and cables travel together in a single wheeled flight case, cutting setup and strike time at every venue.
  • Adjustable Coverage — Vertical dispersion on each KP52 I adjusts from 10 to 45 degrees with 90-degree horizontal coverage, allowing the monitoring field to be aimed precisely at the mix position.
  • Professional Connectivity — Analog and AES3 digital XLR I/O, SpeakON NL4 outputs, powerCON TRUE1 TOP mains, RJ45, and USB-A cover both analog consoles and digital production workflows.
  • Remote Control and Tuning — A dedicated Wi-Fi mobile app handles day-to-day control while K-Framework3 over wired Ethernet provides full DSP tuning and system management.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the K-FOH2 need an external amplifier or processor?
No. The Thunder KS2 I subwoofer contains a 4-channel Class D amplifier and DSP that power and process both Python KP52 I columns as well as its own 18-inch driver. Connect your console output and the system is operational.

Can it accept a digital feed from the console?
Yes. The KS2 I provides AES3 digital input alongside analog XLR inputs, plus XLR link outputs for passing signal downstream, so it fits both analog and digital production workflows.

How is the system controlled and tuned?
Day-to-day control runs through K-array's dedicated Wi-Fi mobile app. For deeper tuning, preset management, and multi-unit control, K-Framework3 connects over wired Ethernet through the RJ45 port.

What exactly ships in the flight case?
The wheeled flight case holds the two Python KP52 I elements, the Thunder KS2 I subwoofer, two floor stands, and the necessary cables, so the complete monitoring rig travels and stores as a single case.

Can the K-FOH2 be used as a small main PA instead of a monitor system?
It is optimized as a FOH and reference monitoring system, but the 2.1 configuration also performs well as a compact high-fidelity playback system in broadcast studios, training rooms, and presentation spaces where accuracy matters more than raw coverage area.

What warranty applies to this system?
K-array products carry a 5-year manufacturer warranty. Creation Networks provides pre-sale system consultation and post-sale support for production and commercial AV customers.
