Product Overview
The K-Array Mugello KH3P I is an ultra-thin passive line array element built for concert sound reinforcement and fixed installation in auditoriums, houses of worship, and large multi-purpose venues. The medium-format element in K-array's Mugello Series combines two 12-inch neodymium magnet woofers and two compression drivers in a cabinet only 200 mm deep, reaching 144 dB peak SPL. Its Slim Array Technology produces a cardioid polar pattern across the entire frequency range, making this passive line array speaker a strong choice for commercial AV deployments where rear rejection, low weight, and high power density matter. Integrators specifying a flyable line array installation with digital beam steering in array will find the KH3P I delivers large-format output from a remarkably compact profile.
Product Description
Each Mugello KH3P I houses two 12-inch neodymium magnet woofers with 2.5-inch voice coils alongside two compression drivers, also with 2.5-inch voice coils, in a polyurea-coated birch plywood enclosure. The element is bi-amped, with the high-frequency section rated at 250 W peak into 16 ohms and the low-frequency section at 1200 W peak into 8 ohms, wired through dual SpeakON connectors with a link output for daisy-chaining elements in an array. K-array's Slim Array Technology improves impulse response and maintains a cardioid polar pattern over the full bandwidth, which reduces energy spilling onto stages and rear walls — a meaningful advantage in reverberant worship spaces and broadcast environments. Vertical coverage of 20 degrees is digitally adjustable when the elements are deployed in an array, while the 110-degree horizontal pattern covers wide seating areas evenly. At 38.6 kg with rigging hardware and just 8.3 inches deep, arrays stay light on rigging points and visually unobtrusive against proscenium walls. The first United States KH3P I concert system was installed at Rose Hill Church in Baton Rouge, demonstrating the element's fit for modern worship production.

Pair the KH3P I with the K-Array Mugello KS5P I dual 21-inch passive subwoofer for full-range low-frequency extension, and browse the complete K-Array collection at Creation Networks for amplification and accessories.
Key Features
- Ultra-Thin Cabinet Profile — The net cabinet measures only 200 mm (7.9 in) deep, so flown arrays remain visually discreet in architecturally sensitive auditoriums and worship venues.
- Dual 12-Inch Neodymium Woofers — Two 12-inch woofers with 2.5-inch voice coils provide the low-mid power density expected of a medium-format concert line array element.
- Twin Compression Drivers — Two compression drivers with 2.5-inch voice coils extend response to 19 kHz, keeping vocals and program material articulate at distance.
- Slim Array Technology Cardioid Pattern — SAT delivers improved impulse response and a cardioid polar pattern over the entire frequency range, rejecting energy behind the array and reducing stage wash.
- 144 dB Peak Output — Each element reaches 144 dB peak SPL, giving system designers concert-level headroom with fewer boxes.
- Digitally Adjustable Vertical Coverage — The 20-degree vertical coverage is digitally adjustable when deployed in an array, allowing beam control without mechanical re-rigging.
- Bi-Amp SpeakON Wiring — Dual SpeakON connectors carry the 250 W HF and 1200 W LF circuits with a link output, simplifying array cabling for installers.
- Lightweight Rigged Weight — At 38.6 kg (85 lb) including rigging hardware, the element keeps loads modest on motors and house rigging points.
- Durable Weather-Resistant Build — The polyurea-coated birch plywood enclosure carries an IP54 rating for use in demanding production and covered outdoor environments.

Frequently Asked Questions
What amplification does the Mugello KH3P I require?
The KH3P I is a passive bi-amp element requiring separate HF (250 W peak at 16 ohms) and LF (1200 W peak at 8 ohms) amplifier channels; K-array amplifier platforms with dedicated presets handle crossover and protection.
How does Slim Array Technology benefit an installation?
Slim Array Technology improves impulse response and maintains a cardioid polar pattern across the full frequency range, which reduces sound energy radiating behind the array toward stages, chancel areas, and rear walls.
How is vertical coverage adjusted?
Each element covers 20 degrees vertically, and that coverage is digitally adjustable when elements are deployed in an array, letting operators steer the beam without changing the mechanical hang.
Which subwoofer pairs with the KH3P I?
The Mugello KS5P I dual 21-inch passive subwoofer extends the system down to 30 Hz and shares the same passive design philosophy and finish options.
Can the KH3P I be used outdoors?
The element carries an IP54 rating for demanding environments; for permanent, long-lasting outdoor installation, K-array recommends additional protection and direct consultation on best practices.
Is the KH3P I proven in house of worship installations?
Yes. Rose Hill Church in Baton Rouge, LA installed the first Mugello KH3P I concert system in the United States, using the array for modern worship production in a 46,000 square foot facility.
