JBL VTX A8 – Dual 8" Compact Line Array Loudspeaker
The JBL VTX A8 brings flagship VTX A Series performance into a compact, high-output package, designed for small to midsize venues, rental companies, and fixed installations. This dual 8-inch line array loudspeaker delivers the clarity, efficiency, and punch of JBL’s larger systems while maintaining a space-saving, low-profile design suitable for flexible deployment scenarios.
Featuring a next-generation 3-way bi-amplified architecture, the VTX A8 provides consistent 110° horizontal coverage down to 300 Hz and extended low-frequency output down to 49 Hz. Its custom transducer set includes two 8-inch woofers, four 3.5-inch midrange drivers, and two 2-inch high-frequency compression drivers, all engineered with proprietary waveguides and low-frequency porting. A passive crossover drives the mid and high sections from a single amplifier channel, simplifying rigging, reducing weight, and minimizing system complexity.
The A8 incorporates JBL’s advanced rigging system with an autolocking angle selection mechanism, allowing angles to be set safely on the ground. Once lifted, the mechanism locks automatically, making deployment quick and accurate. Fully compatible with larger VTX A12 systems, the A8 integrates seamlessly into mixed arrays for extended coverage and flexible configurations.
Built for the rigors of touring and installations, the A8 features a durable plywood enclosure with JBL’s DuraFlex coating to resist impact and abrasion. A full suite of accessories—including base plates for ground stacking, truss clamps, and mini frames for flown configurations—offers unmatched versatility for live events, corporate functions, theatrical productions, and houses of worship.
