JBL VTX A12 – Dual 12" Line Array Loudspeaker with 90° Dispersion

The JBL VTX A12 is a next-generation dual 12-inch line array loudspeaker engineered for mid- to large-size touring productions and high-end fixed installations. Designed from the ground up for rental companies, FOH engineers, and professional tour sound crews, the VTX A12 combines cutting-edge transducer technology with advanced rigging and suspension systems to deliver unmatched performance, sensitivity, and coverage.

At the heart of the VTX A12 are JBL’s new transducers, including dual 12-inch Differential Drive woofers, four 5.5-inch midrange drivers, and three 2-inch HF annular diaphragm compression drivers. The high-frequency section integrates a phasing plug and waveguide to ensure linearity and high sensitivity even at extreme output levels. JBL’s redesigned Radiation Boundary Integrator® (RBI) reduces horn-edge diffraction, improves low-frequency sensitivity, lowers distortion, and provides a 90° horizontal coverage down to 250 Hz.

The VTX A12’s patented rigging system and captive suspension plates allow rapid deployment, precise angle selection, and secure locking for safety and reliability. Its compact, lightweight design and refinements to the enclosure improve transportability and installation efficiency without sacrificing performance. The enclosure is crafted from Finnish birch plywood, finished with JBL’s durable DuraFlex coating, and features integral recessed handles for handling ease.

Fully compatible with JBL system control and prediction software, the VTX A12 allows seamless integration into larger arrays for consistent coverage and performance across venues.
