The JBL MTC-419NC is a pack of six new construction brackets designed specifically for pre-installation of the JBL Control 419CS/T loudspeakers in sheetrock ceilings. While most installations of the Control 400 Series speakers do not require additional brackets, the MTC-419NC provides a convenient and professional method for situations where pre-installation is preferred or production-style cutouts are needed.
These brackets are crafted from durable flat sheet metal and feature integrated wings that attach directly to the building structure, providing stability and reliability during installation. The design allows holes to be drilled for nails or screws at 16 inches (406 mm) and 24 inches (610 mm) on-center, with additional custom spacing possible up to a maximum of 24-3/4 inches (630 mm). This flexibility ensures compatibility with a variety of ceiling configurations and construction requirements.
One of the key benefits of the MTC-419NC is its multifunctional design. The bracket can serve as a secure mounting point for strapping wiring behind the sheetrock, helping to maintain a clean and organized installation. Additionally, the bracket functions as a cutout template, enabling precise blind cutouts in sheetrock using router-type cutting tools. Once the sheetrock is cut, the plaster can be applied around the bracket ring for a seamless, professional finish.
