The JBL Professional Intellivox-DC280HD with bottom-mounted amplifier is a high-performance, self-powered, beam-shaping column loudspeaker designed to deliver clear and consistent sound in acoustically challenging environments. Engineered for venues with high reverberation, the DC280HD ensures excellent speech intelligibility and even sound coverage over distances up to 35 meters, making it ideal for lecture halls, houses of worship, conference facilities, and transportation hubs.

Featuring sixteen custom 4” loudspeakers driven by an eight-channel Class-D amplifier, the DC280HD employs a sophisticated switched-mode power supply to provide reliable, long-term operation. The loudspeakers are arranged according to JBL’s patented algorithm, delivering optimized vertical and horizontal beam shaping for uniform audio distribution. Its digitally steerable design allows precise control of vertical beam direction, ensuring even coverage across the listening area while minimizing reflections and acoustic interference.

This self-contained system includes built-in DSP for advanced signal processing, supporting volume control, delay management, parametric EQ, and user-definable presets. The DC280HD also features Automatic Volume Control (AVC) via the built-in ambient microphone and is network-ready for monitoring, firmware upgrades, and integration with JBL WinControl software.
