The JBL Intellivox DS430 (Amplifier at Top) is a high-performance, self-powered column loudspeaker engineered for professional audio environments requiring precise speech intelligibility and even sound coverage. As the second tallest model in the DS series, it provides reliable coverage of up to 50 meters while maintaining a uniform sound pressure level, making it ideal for lecture halls, theatres, large conference facilities, atriums, museums, and places of worship.
The DS430 features seventeen custom 4” full-range loudspeakers driven by a sixteen-channel Class-D amplifier located at the top of the column. The amplifier is powered by a sophisticated switched-mode power supply, ensuring consistent performance over years of use. The patented arrangement of loudspeakers enhances both horizontal coverage and low-frequency control, while digitally steerable beam shaping (DDS technology) allows precise vertical directivity, focusing sound toward the audience and minimizing reflections.
This column supports dual line inputs, volume control, and up to 20 seconds of delay, with integrated DSP providing control over vertical beam shaping, EQ, and other audio processing functions through JBL’s WinControl software. It can also be paired with JBL subwoofers for full-range sound reinforcement, making it a versatile solution for professional installations where clarity and unobtrusive design are critical.
