The JBL Intellivox DS180 (Amp at Bottom) is a compact, self-powered, digitally steerable loudspeaker array designed for small to medium-sized venues where superior speech intelligibility is required. Capable of covering distances up to 25 meters with consistent sound pressure levels, the DS180 ensures clear, even coverage across the audience area.

Equipped with twelve precision 4" loudspeakers, the system is powered by an 8-channel Class-D amplifier and sophisticated switched-mode power supply, ensuring reliable long-term operation. Its digitally controlled vertical beam shaping technology provides superior intelligibility by minimizing reflections, making it ideal for reverberant environments.

The DS180 features extensive DSP functionality, including parametric EQ, delay, dual line inputs, and preset storage. Built-in surveillance functions also make it compliant with stringent voice alarm (life safety) standards. Control is provided through JBL’s WinControl software, offering intuitive setup of beam steering, audio processing, and monitoring.

The slim, unobtrusive design of the DS180 allows it to blend seamlessly into architecturally sensitive environments such as lecture halls, places of worship, atriums, museums, and conference facilities. Its low-frequency performance can be extended with a companion JBL subwoofer system.
