The JBL Control 440CS/T is a high-performance 8-inch in-ceiling subwoofer from JBL’s flagship Control 400 Premium Coverage Series. Engineered for professional audio environments, this subwoofer combines high power, low distortion, and a durable reinforced enclosure to deliver deep, warm bass in commercial, hospitality, and institutional spaces.
Designed for seamless integration with Control 400 Series satellites, the 440CS/T features a built-in passive crossover network, enabling it to function as part of a subwoofer-satellite system. Its integrated enclosure with large, tapered dual ports ensures smooth, extended low-frequency response, while the 8-inch treated paper cone woofer with SBR surround provides robust and consistent bass performance.
Installation is made efficient and repeatable with robust dogears accommodating a range of ceiling thicknesses, and terminal covers offering both top and side cable entry options. The full-face magnetic grille is paintable to match interior design aesthetics, with optional black and square grilles for additional customization. Supporting both low-impedance and 70V/100V distributed audio systems, the 440CS/T offers versatility in professional installations.
