The JBL COL600 is a 24-inch slim column loudspeaker designed for permanent commercial installation in spaces that require reliable background music and paging coverage without calling attention to the speaker hardware itself. With a shallow cabinet depth of just 3.7 inches, this column loudspeaker mounts flush to the wall and qualifies for ADA-compliant installations when the back of the cabinet is flush-mounted. Product Description

The COL600 column loudspeaker pairs two 5 x 2.25 inch racetrack LF drivers with a single 1-inch tweeter positioned at the top of the array, a layout that keeps high-frequency energy aimed at the listening zone rather than at the ceiling. The shallow 93 mm cabinet depth keeps the speaker close to the wall, preserving sight lines and meeting ADA projection requirements for wall-mounted objects. A built-in 10° downward tilt means the coverage aim is already optimized for most listening areas without physically angling the cabinet away from the wall.

Power flexibility is built in through a multi-tap 70V/100V transformer with selectable taps at 20W, 10W, 5W, and 2.5W (70V only), plus a direct 8-ohm bypass for amplifier-driven systems. This makes the COL600 compatible with both distributed audio systems using constant-voltage amplifiers and conventional low-impedance amplifiers without any additional hardware. Continuous power handling reaches 80W pink noise (320W peak) in 8-ohm mode, and maximum SPL is rated at 105 dB continuous (111 dB peak) at 1 meter.

Installation is handled through two included L-brackets — configurable on either the top/bottom or left/right panels — plus an included low-profile swivel/tilt wall bracket that adds up to 10° of additional down-tilt. The input terminal compartment includes a rain cover sized for one or two 2-wire cables up to 8 mm jacket diameter. The enclosure is molded from UL94-V0 rated PC+ABS, and the grille is plated SPCC with polyester powder coat. The white finish (RAL9016) blends into light-colored ceilings and walls, making the COL600-WH a natural choice for architecturally sensitive spaces such as hotel lobbies, retail stores, and corporate reception areas.
