The JBL AM7212/66 is a high-output, full-range loudspeaker engineered for professional audio installations that require precision coverage and long-term reliability. Designed with a compact yet powerful 12-inch form factor, this system features the JBL 2262H Differential Drive® low-frequency driver, equipped with a dual 3-inch voice coil and dual magnetic gap for high efficiency and reduced distortion. Complementing the low end is the JBL 2432H high-frequency compression driver, built with a 3-inch voice coil and 1.5-inch exit to deliver smooth, detailed high frequencies across its 60° x 60° coverage area.
The AM7212/66 incorporates a large-format Progressive Transition™ waveguide that ensures excellent pattern control and off-axis response. The rotatable design allows installers to configure the speaker in either vertical or horizontal orientations, making it versatile for a wide range of applications. High-slope passive networks reduce band overlap, and the bi-amp/passive switchable design, paired with FIR tuning presets, optimizes frequency response, phase alignment, and coverage consistency.
Constructed from 11-ply Finnish birch plywood and finished with JBL’s rugged DuraFlex™ coating, the AM7212/66 is built to withstand demanding use. It features 15 integrated M10 suspension points for secure mounting and a weather-resistant design rated to MIL-STD-810 and IP-x3 standards. With a continuous power rating of 600W in passive mode and peak capability of 2400W, it delivers impressive SPL performance suitable for auditoriums, theaters, houses of worship, clubs, and sports facilities.
