The JBL AM7200 series, including the AM7200/64 and AM7200/95 models, is a professional-grade high-power mid-high frequency loudspeaker system designed for a wide range of fixed-installation applications. Engineered for precision, clarity, and powerful output, these loudspeakers utilize JBL’s CMCD™ Cone Midrange Compression Driver for low midrange distortion, increased sensitivity, extended bandwidth, and improved phase coherency. Complementing the midrange driver is the 2432H high-frequency compression driver, delivering crisp, detailed high frequencies with minimal distortion.
Each model employs JBL’s multi-band Progressive Transition™ (PT) waveguide for superior pattern control and consistent off-axis response. The waveguides are rotatable, allowing flexible deployment in either horizontal or vertical orientations to match venue requirements. The AM7200 series features high-slope bi-amp/passive switchable crossovers that minimize frequency overlap and maintain clean signal transitions.
The trapezoidal enclosures are constructed of 11-ply Finnish birch plywood and finished in JBL’s rugged DuraFlex™ coating. Designed for professional use, they include 13 M10 suspension points for versatile rigging, preengineered array bracketry, and a powder-coated 14-gauge steel grille with acoustically transparent foam for driver protection. With an AES-rated midrange power of 350 W (1400 W peak) and HF power of 100 W (400 W peak), these speakers produce up to 141 dB peak SPL in bi-amp mode, making them ideal for performing arts facilities, auditoriums, houses of worship, live clubs, sports facilities, and themed entertainment venues. The AM7200 series is weather-resistant with IP-x3 and MIL-STD-810 compliance for reliable performance in demanding environments.
