At the heart of the AM5215/95 is JBL’s Differential Drive technology, featuring the 265H-1 15" dual voice coil low-frequency driver, paired with the 2408H-1 1.5" high-frequency compression driver. Together, these drivers provide a full-range frequency response from 35 Hz to 20 kHz (-10 dB) and 41 Hz to 18 kHz (±3 dB), ensuring accurate reproduction across low, mid, and high frequencies. The large-format Progressive Transition (PT) waveguide produces precise 90° x 50° coverage, delivering consistent sound projection and minimal off-axis distortion. The rotatable waveguide allows the speaker to be positioned in either vertical or horizontal orientation without sacrificing coverage quality.

The AM5215/95 is bi-amp/passive switchable, offering flexibility for a wide range of sound system configurations. Its high-slope passive crossover minimizes frequency overlap for seamless integration into multi-speaker arrays. The enclosure is constructed from robust plywood and finished with JBL’s DuraFlex coating, while the steel grille with acoustically transparent foam provides additional driver protection.
