The JBL AM5212/26 is a high-performance 12-inch 2-way full-range loudspeaker designed to deliver professional-grade audio with wide and precise coverage. Built on the renowned JBL Differential Drive® technology, this system features a dual voice coil, dual magnetic gap 262H-1 low-frequency driver and a 2408H-1 high-frequency 1.5-inch compression driver. Its large PT™ Progressive Transition waveguide provides 120° x 60° coverage, ensuring clear and consistent sound across large listening areas. The waveguide is fully rotatable, allowing for flexible deployment in both vertical and horizontal orientations, which is particularly useful for complex venue setups and array configurations.
Engineered for versatility, the AM5212/26 incorporates high-slope passive networks that minimize band overlap and provide a smooth, well-controlled off-axis response for improved arrayability. The bi-amp and passive mode FIR tuning further enhances performance, optimizing frequency and phase response, coverage consistency, and sound quality. Encased in a trapezoidal enclosure made from 16 mm exterior-grade 11-ply birch plywood, this speaker is lightweight yet durable enough for touring, installation, and demanding live environments. Available finishes include Black DuraFlex™, White, and WRC/WRX weather-resistant options, making it suitable for indoor and outdoor applications.
