The JBL AM5212/00 is a professional 12-inch 2-way full-range loudspeaker designed to provide consistent, high-quality sound coverage for a wide range of live and installed audio applications. Featuring JBL’s Differential Drive® dual voice coil and dual magnetic gap 262H-1 low-frequency driver combined with the 2408H-1 high-frequency 1.5-inch compression driver, this system delivers powerful, clear, and balanced sound with excellent detail and minimal distortion. The large-format PT™ Progressive Transition waveguide provides 100° x 100° coverage and is fully rotatable, allowing flexible deployment in either vertical or horizontal orientations.
Engineered for professional audio environments, the AM5212/00 includes high-slope passive networks that minimize band overlap while providing smooth, well-controlled off-axis response for improved arrayability and consistent coverage. The bi-amp and passive mode FIR tuning optimizes frequency and phase response, ensuring superior tonal clarity and uniform sound dispersion. Constructed from lightweight yet durable 16 mm exterior-grade 11-ply birch plywood in a trapezoidal enclosure with 15-degree side angles, the system is suitable for both touring and permanent installation. Finishes include Black DuraFlex™, White, and WRC/WRX weather-resistant options to accommodate indoor and outdoor environments.
Ideal for performing arts facilities, auditoriums, worship centers, live clubs, dance clubs, sports venues, and themed entertainment venues, the AM5212/00 delivers a maximum SPL of 122 dB (LF) and 131 dB (HF) in bi-amp mode with a passive system sensitivity of 96 dB. Multiple suspension points, reliable input connectors, and robust construction make this loudspeaker a versatile solution for demanding professional sound reinforcement applications.
