JBL AC28/95 – Compact Dual 8" 2-Way Loudspeaker with Rotatable Horn

The JBL AC28/95 is a high-output, compact dual 8-inch 2-way loudspeaker from the AE Compact family, designed for professional audio applications requiring both flexibility and high fidelity. Equipped with two 205 mm (8 in) SFG™ low-frequency drivers and a 1” exit compression driver with a Progressive Transition™ (PT™) rotatable waveguide, the AC28/95 delivers precise, controlled coverage. The rotatable horn allows system designers to select between 90° x 50° or 120° x 60° coverage patterns, ensuring consistent sound distribution across diverse venues.

With a frequency range of 53 Hz – 20 kHz, AES-rated power of 700 W, and maximum SPL of 120 dB, this speaker offers both impactful lows and crisp highs, making it ideal for performing arts facilities, theaters, auditoriums, houses of worship, live clubs, sports facilities, and themed entertainment venues. The FIR Tuning Set further optimizes frequency and phase response, providing excellent coverage consistency and sound quality.

The AC28/95 is housed in a rugged compact enclosure constructed from 12 mm and 15 mm exterior-grade multi-ply hardwood plywood. Dual Neutrik NL4 connectors, plus screw terminals, offer flexible wiring options, and multiple suspension points support U-brackets, OmniMount® type brackets, and stand mounts. This combination of durability, power, and precision makes the AC28/95 a versatile choice for any high-performance audio installation.
