The IRX115S draws on JBL's professional touring technologies to deliver high-output low frequency without guesswork. Its 15-inch woofer with a 3-inch voice coil is driven by a Class-D amplifier rated 400 W continuous (600 W burst, 1,300 W peak), producing a 35 Hz–147 Hz (-10 dB) response and up to 128 dB SPL. As a portable PA subwoofer, it offers selectable 80/100/120 Hz crossover points tuned for the IRX Series, a normal/inverted polarity switch, two XLR/¼-inch combo inputs, and two XLR pass-through outputs for feeding full-range tops. The tuned, ported MDF cabinet (15 mm walls with an 18 mm front plate) reduces port noise and adds output, while a reinforced metal-mesh grille and ergonomic handles support repeated transport. A built-in M20 pole cup lets it mount IRX-series tops such as the JBL IRX108BT powered loudspeaker directly above for a complete portable system.
