The JBL Control 85M is a two-way 5.25-inch coaxial mushroom landscape speaker, sold individually, engineered for high-quality outdoor music and paging with 360-degree coverage. Built for in-ground or on-ground mounting, this weather-resistant landscape speaker suits hospitality grounds, resorts, restaurants, entranceways, and commercial outdoor spaces. A tough polyethylene enclosure resists lawn-care equipment and the elements, with through-material color that hides scrapes and scratches. A built-in multi-tap transformer makes it ready for 70V/100V distributed outdoor audio.

Part of JBL's Control 80 Series, the Control 85M delivers full-range outdoor sound from a coaxial driver layout: a 5.25-inch (135 mm) highly weather-resistant woofer and a 0.75-inch soft-dome highly weather-resistant tweeter, covering a broad 55 Hz to 18 kHz frequency range. It handles 80W pink noise (160W program) in direct 8-ohm mode and includes a built-in 30W 70V/100V multi-tap transformer for distributed systems. A fully isolated center chamber protects the wiring, while the compact mushroom form blends discreetly into landscaping and provides even 360-degree dispersion.
