The JBL Control 19CS is a passive 8-inch in-ceiling installation subwoofer, supplied as a set of two, that adds low-frequency reinforcement to foreground music systems. The Control 19CS uses a durable 200 mm (8 in) polypropylene woofer with a vented pole piece for low distortion. Its Nested Chamber design provides an acoustic low-pass character, allowing it to augment full-range ceiling speakers without an external crossover or a separate amplifier channel. SonicGuard overload protection guards the subwoofer against damage while remaining transparent to the listener. A removable locking connector with screw-down terminals supports input and loop-through output, and the enclosed terminal box accepts plenum-rated wire or conduit.
