Product Overview
The Jabra Link 950 USB-A is a telephone switch (electronic hook switch adapter) that bridges a USB headset between a traditional desk phone and a softphone-equipped computer, supporting organizations managing mixed-telephony environments during UC platform migrations. The device enables full call control from a single connected headset across both communication channels, eliminating the need for separate headsets at each workstation. This USB-A variant is compatible with a broad installed base of commercial desktops, docking stations, and conference room PCs where USB-A remains the standard interface. IT administrators can manage connected headsets and push firmware updates centrally using Jabra Xpress, streamlining large-scale enterprise headset deployments.
Product Description
The Jabra Link 950 USB-A connects a USB headset simultaneously to a desk phone and a softphone-equipped workstation, routing call audio and control through the headset regardless of which device receives the call. When the desk phone rings, audio routes to the headset automatically; when a softphone call arrives via the computer, the same headset handles it without any manual switching by the user. This is particularly valuable in contact center and enterprise environments where desk phone infrastructure and UC softphone platforms coexist during extended migration periods.

The USB-A interface ensures compatibility with the widest range of existing commercial hardware, including older laptops, desktop PCs, and USB-A docking stations prevalent across enterprise deployments. Both USB-A and USB-C computer cables are included in the box, providing additional connection flexibility without extra accessories. Electronic Hook Switch (EHS) functionality is supported when used with a compatible EHS adapter, enabling full remote call control on the desk phone — including answering and ending calls from the headset without pressing buttons on the phone itself. The Link 950's compact physical footprint keeps workstations organized, a practical consideration in contact center rows and open-plan office layouts. Jabra Xpress integration allows IT teams to manage the entire connected headset ecosystem from a central console, reducing per-device administration overhead at scale.
