Product Overview
The INOGENI VGA2USB3 is a VGA to USB 3.0 video capture card that enables legacy VGA, Component (analog), and CVBS video sources to be captured over USB 3.0 for use with conferencing, recording, and streaming applications. It accepts SD and HDTV video formats up to 1920x1200 at 60 fps and presents the signal as a UVC-compliant USB device on any Windows, macOS, or Linux system without driver installation. The VGA2USB3 is the correct solution for organizations that need to integrate VGA-output equipment — document cameras, older PTZ cameras, or presentation systems — into modern soft codec workflows where only USB camera inputs are available. Note: the VGA2USB3 has been discontinued by INOGENI; remaining stock is available while supplies last.
Product Description
The INOGENI VGA2USB3 VGA to USB 3.0 capture card converts uncompressed VGA, Component (analog), and CVBS video with stereo analog audio into a USB 3.0 stream, delivering the signal as a standard USB camera to any connected computer. It supports a wide range of resolutions including 1080p, 720p, 480p, 576p, 1920x1200, 1600x1200, 1280x1024, 1280x960, 1024x768, 800x600, and 640x480, as well as NTSC and PAL formats, at up to 60 fps. All SD and HD signals are converted to 4:2:2 8-bit color space over USB 3.0. The line-level stereo analog audio input is output as two-channel LPCM. Digital Fluid technology internally buffers frames to maximize frame rate consistency across varying PC configurations, while hardware-based color space and sampling conversion, automatic scaling, frame rate conversion, and customizable image controls (brightness, contrast, saturation, hue) are handled on-device. The VGA2USB3 is UVC-compliant and DirectShow compatible, requiring no driver installation. It supports multiple units on the same PC simultaneously, making it suitable for multi-source capture setups. Compatible with document cameras from Epson, AVer, and Elmo, as well as VGA-output PTZ cameras and presentation systems. TAA-compliant and designed and manufactured in Canada.
