Product Overview
The INOGENI TOGGLE is a USB 3.0 switcher that allows two host computers — typically a room PC and a visitor's laptop — to share up to three USB 3.0 devices such as a camera, microphone, or capture card. Designed for BYOD and BYOM conference room deployments, the TOGGLE switches device access between hosts automatically when a laptop is connected, then reverts to the room PC upon disconnection. Winner of the 2021 AV Award for Processing and Distribution Technology of the Year, the TOGGLE is a proven USB 3.0 switcher for two computers sharing one camera in professional meeting environments.
Product Description
The INOGENI TOGGLE connects three USB 3.0 peripheral ports to two host computers and manages which host has active access at any given time. Switching can occur automatically based on laptop connection, manually via a front-panel button, or remotely through RS-232 or GPI control — making it compatible with room control systems from Crestron, Q-SYS, AMX, and others. The TOGGLE requires no drivers and appears transparently to both hosts, so cameras, microphones, and USB capture cards continue operating with their native drivers and UC platform integrations. It is backward-compatible with USB 2.0 devices and carries two USB 3.0 host cables in the box. The rugged full-metal enclosure suits permanent AV rack or table installations. An optional external power supply can be connected to provide additional power to connected USB 3.0 devices that exceed bus power limits. Firmware upgrades are available through the INOGENI Control App. The TOGGLE is verified compatible with Logitech Rally, Rally Bar, and MeetUp cameras, Barco ClickShare Conference (CX-20, CX-30, CX-50), Lenovo ThinkSmart Core, and Q-SYS Designer. TAA-compliant and manufactured in Canada, the TOGGLE carries a 5-year warranty.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How does the TOGGLE know which host to switch to?
A: The TOGGLE monitors the USB connection status of both host ports. When a laptop is plugged into the secondary host port, it automatically switches all connected USB devices to that laptop. When the laptop disconnects, control returns to the primary host (room PC). Switching can also be triggered manually or via RS-232/GPI from a room control system.
Q: Does the TOGGLE require any software or drivers?
A: No drivers are required. The TOGGLE is transparent to both hosts and to connected USB devices. Each host sees the connected USB cameras and microphones with their native drivers, including any UC platform integrations already configured on those machines.
Q: How many USB devices can I connect to the TOGGLE?
A: The TOGGLE has three USB 3.0 device ports, allowing you to connect up to three USB peripherals simultaneously — for example, a camera, a microphone, and a USB capture card or speakerphone.
Q: Is the TOGGLE compatible with Zoom Rooms and Microsoft Teams Rooms?
A: Yes. The TOGGLE is compatible with all major UC platforms including Microsoft Teams, Zoom Rooms, Google Meet, and Webex, as it does not interfere with the USB device drivers or platform configurations on either host.
Q: Can the TOGGLE be controlled by a Crestron or Q-SYS room control system?
A: Yes. The TOGGLE supports RS-232 and GPI control, and a native Q-SYS plugin is available for integration with Q-SYS Designer Software. RS-232 control is also compatible with Crestron, AMX, and other control processors.
Q: What cameras are compatible with the TOGGLE?
A: The TOGGLE has been tested with cameras from Logitech (Rally, Rally Bar, MeetUp, Scribe), Vaddio, Huddly, HuddleCamHD, AVer, Jabra, Marshall, and other USB camera brands. A full compatibility list is available on the INOGENI website.
Q: Does the TOGGLE work with Barco ClickShare Conference?
A: Yes. The TOGGLE is verified compatible with Barco ClickShare Conference CX-20, CX-30, and CX-50, allowing USB devices connected to the TOGGLE to be accessed by the ClickShare system.
