The R2/R2SUR flex bracket is a new-construction mounting bracket for Sonance R2 and R2SUR large in-wall speakers. It is intended for framers and installers who mount speaker brackets to studs before drywall is installed.
Product Description
This ABS bracket is designed for new construction, attaching to studs before drywall is installed so a Sonance R2 or R2SUR speaker cutout can be located precisely during the finish stage. Snap-on mesh metal wings support stud spacing up to 24 inches on-center, and the bracket can be configured horizontally or vertically depending on the speaker orientation in the wall. It is built exclusively for the Reference R2 and R2SUR models, so integrators speccing the larger in-wall speaker pair should confirm they are ordering this bracket rather than the smaller R1/R1SUR version.
