Product Overview
The Poly Studio X32 video bar is an all-in-one 4K video bar for small conference rooms and huddle spaces, combining a 20MP camera, dual speakers, and a four-microphone array in a single display-mounted unit. Unlike a USB peripheral, the X32 runs Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, and Google Meet natively on the bar itself, so no room PC is required to hold a meeting. Poly DirectorAI smart camera technology follows the active speaker and reframes the group automatically, keeping remote participants engaged without an operator. Because the bar draws PoE++ power over its RJ-45 interface, an integrator can deliver both data and power to a small conference room video bar on one Ethernet run.
Product Description

HP Poly rates the Studio X32 for small rooms of roughly three to five participants, where a personal webcam no longer covers the table but a modular codec and rack are more infrastructure than the space justifies. The 20MP sensor captures 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) across a 120° horizontal and 132° diagonal field of view with 5x digital zoom, and DirectorAI provides speaker framing, people framing, and group framing so the shot follows the conversation. Four MEMS microphones pick up voice out to approximately 15 ft, while Poly NoiseBlockAI and Acoustic Fence suppress keyboard clatter and corridor conversation instead of simply gating the channel. Dual 5 W speakers with a 100 Hz to 20 kHz response deliver intelligible far-end audio without an external amplifier or DSP.
The distinction that decides most purchases in this category is the compute model. The X32 is a self-contained room system: meeting software runs on the bar, so a small conference room needs only the video bar, a display, and a network drop. USB video bars such as the Poly Studio V52, Poly Studio R30, and the original Poly Studio soundbar are peripherals that will not place a call on their own — each one requires a room PC, Mac, or connected laptop to run the meeting application. If your standard is a BYOD or room-PC deployment, choose a USB bar; if you want scheduled one-touch join with no PC in the room, the X32 is the correct SKU. The X32 also supports standards-based H.323 and SIP calling up to 6 Mbps in Poly Video App mode, so it interoperates with existing on-premises video infrastructure rather than forcing a cloud-only migration.
Deployment is designed around a single mounting pass. The bar ships with a display mounting clamp, HDMI cable, Ethernet cable, and privacy cover, and it is powered from a PoE++ injector or switch compatible with IEEE 802.3bt class 6. Connectivity covers one HDMI 1.4 input for local content or a connected PC, two HDMI 2.0 outputs for dual-display rooms, one USB Type-C and two USB Type-A ports for peripherals, and a 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ-45 with IPv4 and IPv6 support. Wi-Fi 6 (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax MIMO) and Bluetooth 5.0 are built in for rooms where a new data drop is impractical. For table or credenza placement use the Poly Studio X30/X32/V12 table stand; for wall or VESA installation use the Poly Studio X30/X32/V12 VESA and wall mount. Rooms that need scheduled calendar join and in-room control should add a Poly TC10 touch controller.
Key Features
- Native Room System, No PC Required — Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, and Google Meet run on the bar itself, so a small room needs only the X32, a display, and a network drop.
- 20MP 4K Camera — Captures 4K UHD video across a 120° horizontal field of view so everyone at a small conference table stays in frame.
- Poly DirectorAI Framing — Speaker framing, people framing, and group framing follow the conversation automatically without a camera operator.
- Four MEMS Microphone Array — Picks up voice to approximately 15 ft with NoiseBlockAI and Acoustic Fence keeping distracting sound out of the call.
- Dual Speakers — Two 5 W drivers covering 100 Hz to 20 kHz provide clear far-end audio without adding an amplifier or DSP to the room.
- PoE++ Powered — Draws power from an IEEE 802.3bt class 6 injector or switch, so a single Ethernet run carries both power and data to the bar.
- Dual HDMI 2.0 Output — Drives two displays from one bar for separate people and content layouts in small rooms.
- H.323 and SIP Support — Places standards-based calls up to 6 Mbps in Poly Video App mode for organizations with existing on-premises video infrastructure.
- Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 — Allow deployment in rooms where pulling a new network drop is impractical.
- Enterprise Security — AES 128-bit and AES 256-bit encryption protect media and signaling on managed corporate networks.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Poly Studio X32 need a room PC?
No. The X32 is a self-contained room system that runs Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, and Google Meet on the bar itself. This is the main difference between the X32 and USB bars such as the Poly Studio V52, Poly Studio R30, or the original Poly Studio soundbar, all of which are peripherals that require a connected PC, Mac, or laptop to run the meeting application.
How is the X32 powered, and can it run on PoE?
The X32 is powered over its RJ-45 interface from a PoE++ injector or switch compatible with IEEE 802.3bt class 6, at an operating voltage of 42.5 V to 57 V. Confirm that the switch port budget supports class 6 before specifying the room, since standard 802.3af or 802.3at ports will not power the bar.
What room size does the X32 cover?
HP Poly rates the X32 for small rooms of three to five participants. The 120° horizontal field of view covers a short conference table, and the four-microphone array picks up voice to approximately 15 ft, which is the practical limit for table depth in these spaces.
How is the X32 mounted in a conference room?
The bar ships with a display mounting clamp for display-top installation. For a table or credenza placement use the Poly Studio X30/X32/V12 table stand, and for wall or VESA-pattern installation use the Poly Studio X30/X32/V12 VESA and wall mount.
Does the X32 work with existing H.323 or SIP infrastructure?
Yes. In Poly Video App mode the X32 places standards-based H.323 and SIP calls up to 6 Mbps, with Polycom Lost Packet Recovery and dynamic bandwidth allocation for constrained links. That allows a single hardware standard to serve both cloud and on-premises calling.
Can the X32 drive two displays?
Yes. Two HDMI 2.0 outputs support dual-display rooms so far-end participants and shared content can occupy separate screens, and one HDMI 1.4 input accepts local content or a connected room PC.
Does the room need a touch controller?
A controller is not required, but most commercial deployments add a Poly TC10 for one-touch calendar join and in-room control. Without a controller the room is driven from the on-screen interface or a connected device.
What warranty and support are included?
The X32 carries the Poly standard one-year limited warranty. Poly+ service agreements are available separately for extended coverage, advance hardware replacement, and technical support; contact Creation Networks for the correct coverage tier for your deployment.
