The BSS AC-5S Soundweb Contrio analog wall controller uses a five-position resistor ladder to present five discrete voltage states to a single GPI port on a connected Soundweb London device. Each of the five positions maps to a unique control action — typically source selection or scene/preset recall — configured via drag-and-drop in HiQnet Audio Architect. Because the controller requires only one GPI, up to 12 AC-5S units can connect to a single standard Soundweb London device, and up to 36 can connect to a BLU-GPX expander, allowing scalable room-level control across large multi-zone installations.

The AC-5S is part of the Soundweb Contrio family, which pairs low-cost analog controllers with the full processing power of the Soundweb London platform. No additional control processor is required: the GPI infrastructure built into every Soundweb London device is all that is needed to deploy the AC-5S. Wiring is straightforward, and the Audio Architect software provides flexible parameter mapping so virtually any controllable parameter in the signal flow can be assigned to the rotary selector positions.
