The NETGEAR GS308EP is an eight-port Gigabit Ethernet Plus (smart-managed) switch with eight 802.3at PoE+ ports and a 62W power budget. It adds VLAN segmentation, QoS, and IGMP snooping on top of plug-and-play connectivity, giving AV integrators control without the cost of a fully managed switch. The fanless metal enclosure operates silently for conference rooms and AV racks. A browser-based GUI handles all configuration.

The GS308EP 8-port Gigabit PoE+ Plus switch bridges the gap between unmanaged simplicity and full management. All eight Gigabit ports support 802.3at PoE+ at up to 30W per port, drawing from a 62W shared budget suited to powering a handful of access points, cameras, or PoE endpoints. Beyond power delivery, the switch offers IEEE 802.1Q VLAN tagging, 802.1p and DSCP QoS, IGMP snooping, port mirroring, and rate limiting, all configurable through a business-friendly web GUI. Uninterrupted PoE keeps connected devices powered even during firmware updates or reboots.
The fanless metal chassis runs at 0 dBA and is desktop or wall-mountable, making it well suited to meeting rooms and signage installations where silence and discreet placement matter. Non-blocking switching provides 16 Gbps of fabric bandwidth, and a 4K MAC address table supports denser device populations than entry-level models. For traffic prioritization, QoS rules can keep voice and video streams ahead of bulk data. The GS308EP fits naturally alongside other devices in the NETGEAR switch collection when building a segmented AV network. Per-port PoE controls and cable testing simplify troubleshooting during commissioning.
