The RI-MICTP-FBM tripod microphone stand with fixed boom gives engineers extended reach without the bulk of a full counterweighted boom stand. The fixed boom arm positions the microphone out over an instrument, amplifier, or lectern where a straight stand cannot reach, which is useful when stage real estate is tight. A twist-action clutch adjusts the column height with a quarter turn, raising the microphone from 40 inches up to 66 inches.
