Product Overview

The Gator G-TOUR 4U is a 4U ATA flight rack case built for touring, staging, and broadcast work where a small rack-mounted load must survive repeated transport. This ATA wood flight rack case pairs 9mm plywood construction with tour-grade hardware to protect amplifiers, wireless systems, and signal processing in a compact 19" rack footprint. With 17" rackable depth and front and rear rails, it gives integrators and production crews a portable transport rack for low-density equipment. It suits houses of worship, mobile production, and rental fleets.

Product Description

Gator G-TOUR 4U 4U ATA flight rack case for touring AV equipment

Gator's G-TOUR rack cases are built to protect rack gear in transit, and the 4U model packs four rack spaces into a light, carryable case. The shell is 9mm plywood with a laminated exterior and a tongue-and-groove extruded aluminum valance, the professional construction technique for a strong, reliable touring case. Front and rear 3.2mm thick rack rails accept standard 19" rack-mount equipment, with 17" of rackable depth available when the lids are removed. Triple-plated chrome heavy-duty hardware includes recessed twist latches and spring-loaded handles, and reinforced stackable ball corners support stacking in transit. The gasketed lid adds water resistance for travel and outdoor staging. Typical payloads include a small wireless and amplifier rig, a compact DSP or playback package, or a portable utility rack. For more rack spaces, compare the G-TOUR 6U, or browse the full Gator rack and case collection.

Frequently Asked Questions

What equipment fits in the G-TOUR 4U?
It accepts standard 19" rack-mount equipment across 4 rack units with 17" of rackable depth — small amplifiers, wireless systems, effects units, and signal processors are common payloads.

Does it use standard 19" rack rails?
Yes. Front and rear 3.2mm thick rails are sized to the standard 19" EIA rack-mount footprint, so standard rack screws and rack ears mount directly.

How is gear mounted and accessed?
Equipment mounts to the front and rear rails; the lids are removed via recessed twist latches for full access during installation and service.

Is it suitable for permanent AV system integration?
It is designed as a mobile transport rack rather than a fixed-install enclosure. For permanent installs a stationary 19" rack is usually preferred, but the 4U fits well into mobile and touring AV systems.

Is the case stackable for transport?
Yes. Reinforced ball corners are designed for stacking multiple cases securely during transport and storage.

What warranty applies?
It carries the Gator Cases Limited Lifetime Warranty against manufacturing defects. Moving parts are covered for one year, and the warranty excludes use in a rental capacity.

Where can I get support?
Creation Networks assists with selection and integration questions, and Gator Cases provides warranty service and field-replaceable parts through its Tampa, Florida team.
